When are the Moors and Christians of Cocentaina celebrated?

La Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos de Cocentaina se celebran el segon fin de semana de agosto, fecha que fue fijada en 1962 siendo Ramón Ferrando Pla President de la Junta de Fiestas. Hasta llavors, se celebraven els dies 11, 12, 13 i 14 d'agost, coincidint sempre el tercer dia amb la festivitat de Sant Hipòlit. Així, actualment el segon dissabte d'agost és sempre el primer dia de la trilogia, començant les Festes la víspera amb la interpretació del Himno de Festes per totes les comparses i bandes de música.
