The 'Filaes'

The troupes that star in the festival, known as 'filaes', represent the two sides, the Moorish and the Christian. Each 'filà' has its own clothing, coat of arms and singularity. And each year, one per side holds the position of Captaincy, and a different one holds the Flag Bearer.

Currently, the 'Junta de Fiestas' is in charge of regulating the participation of the sixteen 'filaes' that make up the festival, eight Moors and eight Christians.
